Hudson & Marshall is holding a week-long series of foreclosure auctions in Southern California, beginning in Anaheim. At the Anaheim Marriott, the company will auction more than 300 homes on Saturday and Sunday. It plans to sell more than 800 homes during the week.
Of course, one can bid online or via a real estate agent up to a day before each auction.
Some of the properties are in Orange County but most appear to be in neighboring counties, or even further away.
Here’s a sample of O.C. homes for sale:
North Columbine Place, Anaheim (photo right): A four-bed, two-bath house. Zillow.com says it sold in July 2007 for $479,090. Built in 1954, it totals 1,363 square feet. This will be auctioned June 8th at Anaheim Marriot.
Winding Way, Irvine (lower photo): A two-bed, 2.5-bath condo. Zillow.com pegs its current market worth at around $550,000. Built in 2006, it totals 1,850 square feet. This will also be auctioned Sunday at the Anaheim Marriott.

Crystal Wright, a spokesperson for the company, said potential bidders should look inside each property by calling a sales agent listed on Hudson’s web site or having their own real estate agent show them the place.
And she said properties include a 5 percent charge above the bid price.

Does anyone here have good websites for this and other auction companies? We are looking for something in San Clemente/Dana Point area. If banks discount 20 percent now on what is owed (I believe what others have posted that property was 100 percent financed) would this be a good time to buy one with the discount since I have heard reports this area may only go down another 20 percent?
Nah, wait till the end of 2010, that should be the bottom.
These auction companies are such a sham they should be illegal.
Even that donkey Pat Veling knows that an auction that closes with a “sold” on a property only to bring it back up 45 minutes later is a scam.

Hmmm. It will get worse. Check out the forecast at http://www.kunstler.com
